POSITION SUMMARY

The Front-End Developer is responsible for front-end development tasks related to the e-commerce websites, supporting services, and related applications. Individual will work through the S0ftware Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to complete work in a timely manner and adhere to business goals. This role reports directly to the Director of E-Commerce Development and works within the development team to create and maintain multiple e-commerce sites and mobile applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development and support of current and future e-commerce sites across multiple platforms (mobile, tablet, desktop), as well as, support legacy, third-party, and internal applications
  • Acting as a resource, suggests best approaches with focus on efficiency, performance, and user impact.
  • S0ftware Development Life Cycle involvement in an agile environment - planning, estimates, documentation, development, testing, and deployment
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical parties.
  • Must be willing and able to communicate utilizing video conferencing s0ftware (MS Teams) via chat, audio, and video.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE (Special skills, knowledge of machines, procedures, etc.)

Required:

  • Experience with React.
  • Experience building mobile applications with React Native for iOS and Android.
  • Ability to learn new skills, frameworks, and programming languages.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JSON.
  • Willingness to adhere to established coding standards and design patterns.
  • Experience with cross-browser development.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a larger group.
  • Communicate effectively.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience working with a Design System.
  • Experience working with AJAX.
  • Experience developing responsive and mobile websites.
  • Experience with C#, Razor, MVC, .NET, and Visual Studio.
  • Experience interacting with RESTful APIs (Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
  • Experience with a CSS Preprocessor (LESS, Sass).
  • Experience with Git source control.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (can be substituted with relevant professional experience)
  • Experience: 3 - 5 years of recent professional experience in related programming languages (CSS, JavaScript, HTML), preferably in an e-commerce environment. Portfolio of prior relevant work and/or skills testing may be required.
